Carolina Ceca (Spain, 1979) is a Tokyo-based visual artist and historian of art by the University of Salamanca. Since living in Yokohama and Tokyo in 2005 and 2006, respectively, she has pursued the development of her style in Japan, Spain, Morocco and Italy. The emotions evoked by residing in these different places have most evidently found their way into her artwork as the combining of Japanese aesthetics with the Western approach to drawing. At the heart of Carolina's latest pieces is a sensitive analysis of the human condition, expressed through a confessional method; that is, by rooting herself in individual experience, she strives to communicate universal concepts visually.
